RYA Stage 1,2,3,4
RYA YOUTH SAILING SCHEME (£190)
Most of the time our Stage 1, 2 and 3 courses are run in Toppers or Optimists on the gravel pit (depending on the size of the children on the course). We spend as much time on the water learning and practising skills as possible during the course. Stage 4 is run in a 2 man boat so we usually use Fevas for this course. It is possible to complete stage 1 and then do a stage 2 course without any sailing practice between courses but we do encourage sailors to get some practice on the water before doing a stage 3 course. Where this isnt possible we can run a stage 3 course over 3 days to give additional time to practice existing skills.
RYA Stage 1
This is a 2-day course and suitable for complete beginners who want to try sailing. By the end of this course, you will have a basic understanding of how boat sails and have some practical experience of steering and handling the boat.

RYA Stage 2
