Volunteering & Duties

As with any club there is a continuous need for volunteering to assist with all aspects of activity, both on and off the water.

The club relies on it's members for this and hopes you will be keen to do something during the season. Whatever your type of membership, there is always an opportunity to help! This could be with Senior or Junior sailing activities or with the busy Social Calendar of events.

All Sailing Members over the age of 14, are however, required to do at least 3 duties per season associated with the racing programme which could include Race Officer, Assistant Race Officer, Safety Boat Helm or Safety Boat Crew.

Some duties require qualifications or experience, others can be undertaken by almost anybody - duties are shared, usually enjoyable, often very satisfying and always appreciated.

Members can sign up to volunteer via the Duty Roster page (in your members portal) - alternatively please do not hesitate to ask.
