Volunteering & Duties

The Club needs members to volunteer to run events.

Week to week, safe boating needs safety crews. Well organised racing requires Race Officers. Social and other Club events also rely on volunteers to organise and promote.

As a guide, adult members should offer their services by volunteering for duty at least three times per sailing season.

From the 1st of Jan each year, all sailing members over the age of 14 would need to carry out or who have carried out on their behalf 

Members can sign up to our volunteer page via Duty Roster (in your members portal) Some duties require qualifications or experience, others can be undertaken by almost anybody and the Club welcomes non-sailing members to volunteer too - duties are shared, usually enjoyable, often very satisfying and always appreciated
