Welcome to Snettisham Beach Saiing Club

SBSC was formed in 1938 with the primary objective of promoting the sport of sailing. The club has a friendly and informal atmosphere, and visitors are always welcome to call into the club if they want see the facilities or need any information regarding sailing.

We are situated on the east coast that provides dinghy racing on the sea and have an inland lake for junior sailing. Snettisham Beach, on the North West Norfolk coast is a popular sailing venue for Dart 18 catamarans, Laser 1, Laser 2000, Toppers and has mixed Handicap fleet.

NEW FOR 2012

The HENRY WARD HANDICAP SERIES has been extended to cover all racing in April using Committee Boat starts on all days. Starting in May, Saturday fleet racing will normally use gate starts.

Three new handicap series, “PORT”, “MIDSHIPS” and “STARBOARD” have been introduced for Sundays using Committee Boat starts and results will count towards both fleet and handicap series.
