Kick Start

Kick Start has become a a regular fixture on our programme in the Spring half term holidays. It is a three session programme for our junior members, aimed at all sailors who are able to sail a simple triangular course right through to those who race on the sea. All our groups will be led by qualified instructors and follow a planned programme with the aim to re-gaining the confidence gained last year.

Wednesday 6th June - Friday 8th June 2012

Groups

On the Sea: Wednesday 07.30 - 10.00, Thursday 08.00 - 10.30, Friday 08.00 - 10.30

Group 1 is ideal for those who are new to sea sailing or have not much experience sailing on the sea, we aim to build on skills they already have, helping with launching & recovery, and dealing with tides and waves.
Group 2 will be familiar with sea sailing , this group will be concentrating on racing skills, including gate boat starts, starting sequences etc

On the Lakes: Wednesday / Thursday / Friday: 11.30 - 14.00

Group 1 is aimed at sailors who can sail a confident triangle, and who need to re-build the confidence and practice skills learnt last year.
Group 2 if for those confident sailors who feel ready to start racing but are not sure of the rules, start procedures, mark rounding etc

Cost

£30 per child

Club Boat hire available at £15 per boat. Please be aware you are responsible for rigging and de-rigging for each session.
