The primary boats used by juniors racing on the lakes are Toppers, sturdy indestructible boats with a small cockpit and a single sail, and capable of being reefed to help on windier days!

Some of the younger member of the junior fleet sail optimists single handed, or mirrors with parents.

As juniors grow older many have progressed to Laser Ones with a full or radial sail and join in the club racing on the sea.
