This year (2009) shall have handicap fleet racing for the first time. we shall be using the PY handicap with some adaption for old slow boats. This is to encourage everyone to have a go at racing and puts the focus on skills and sailing ability rather than the depth of your pocket.
The Handicap fleet is a mixture of many craft Including Lasers 1s, RS200's, Mirrors, Wayferers, Fireballs, Larks, 420s and even a Laser 4000. So if you have an odd ball class I'm sure we can accomodate you.
Some of the races will be committee boat starts with the lap times taken by the Race Officer. At other times the fleet will be using self started gate boat starts and each crew needs to record their own finish time. Results will be computed using Sailwave on the clubs laptop.
